About O'Hanlons O'Hanlons is a very small football club situated between Newry and Portadown. It draws players and members from both Down and Armagh. Their biggest sporting achievment was winning the junior championship in 1997 defeating Wolfe Tones in the final. At present the club is building new changing room and redeveloping the football pitch. It is hoped to have this work finished by next year. On 31/07/03 Pat Crossan and Pat Turley collected the second Patrick Sarsfield Lambeg drum from Billy Strain. The two drums will shortly go onshow in the clubrooms. The drums date back to around 1890 and are fully restored. The Club paid for the restoration work.
